Draft for counsel review. Not final.
Terms of Use
Draft, final text to be approved by Madrivo's counsel.
Draft notes for counsel (preview only)
- Limitation of liability. The section below excludes indirect and consequential damages and caps direct damages at a placeholder figure. Counsel sets the cap and confirms the carve outs.
- Dispute resolution. Notice and cure, arbitration, class action waiver, and small claims carve out are all placeholders. None of them may be referenced anywhere else on the site until counsel supplies the clause. The seven contact consent templates were corrected in Gate B for exactly this reason.
- Governing law and venue. Placeholder. It follows LEGAL_ENTITY_TBD's state of formation, which is not yet decided.
- Whether the 18 or older statement should be a checkbox rather than a sentence at account creation. Gate B read the sentence as sufficient. Still routed.
- The paid tier. No paid tier exists today. If one ships, California's Automatic Renewal Law applies, and separate subscription terms are needed before launch, not after.
- The licence you grant us. This draft limits it to operating the service and to sending versions to companies that quote you, at your request. Confirm that this is narrow enough for Madrivo and wide enough for the buyer contracts.
Added by the second legal seat, 2026-09-17
- DMCA designated agent. Registration with the US Copyright Office is a prerequisite to the safe harbour for user uploaded photographs. It is a filing, not a clause, and the copyright section below is a placeholder until it is done.
- Verification. The Privacy Policy matches one email address. Confirm that is enough for a deletion asked for by someone who has no account.
- California wiretapping on the consent certification recording of the quote form.
- Whether continued use carries assent to a material change. This draft does not rely on it and asks for acceptance at the next sign in instead. Confirm that is the shape Madrivo wants.
- The enrichment seams. Whether a litigator scrub or a do not call lookup needs disclosure beyond the Privacy Policy's contact checks row.
Who we are
These Terms of Use are an agreement between you and LEGAL_ENTITY_TBD, doing business as Remodelize ("we", "us"). By using this site you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
LEGAL_ENTITY_TBD, doing business as Remodelize, operates an AI remodeling design studio. We are not a contractor and we do not perform remodeling work.
If you ask for quotes, we send your request to home improvement companies in our network, and they contact you directly. They pay us for your request. We do not control, and are not responsible for, the price, quality, licensing, insurance, timing or conduct of any company in our network. Any contract for work is between you and that company, and if something goes wrong with the work your claim is with them. Tell us at support@remodelize.ai anyway, so we can act on our end of the network.
You must be 18 or older
This site is for adults 18 and older. By creating an account, using the studio or sending a quote request you confirm that you are 18 or older and that what you tell us is accurate.
Electronic agreement
By ticking a box, clicking a button such as "Continue" or "Send my request", or otherwise using this site to send us information, you agree that your action is a legally binding electronic signature and your acceptance of these Terms and our Privacy Policy, with the same effect as a signature on paper, under the federal ESIGN Act and applicable state law.
The studio, and what it makes
You upload a photo of your bathroom. We use artificial intelligence to make a picture of that room finished in the style and budget range you pick. You can ask for changes in your own words, and each change makes a new version.
What those pictures are. They are AI generated illustrations, made to help you think about the room and show it to other people. They are not plans, not drawings an installer can build from, not an appraisal, a survey, a design service or a quote, and not a promise of any result.
What they are not checked against. The studio works from one photograph. It does not know your plumbing, wiring, joists, building code, permit requirements or what a fixture costs where you live. Actual cost and results depend on the size of your room, its plumbing and layout, the materials you choose and local labour rates. Results vary.
Honesty on the image. Every version carries a badge burned into the picture itself, a caption, a line saying which model made it and when, and a list of what was kept and changed. Do not remove or obscure any of those if you pass the picture on. Our AI use page explains the rest.
Your account, membership and the render allowance
Membership is free. We sign you in by emailing a one time link rather than a password, so keep access to your email secure. Anyone with that link can sign in as you.
Making a version uses one render from your allowance. You get renders when you sign up and more each day up to a cap, shown in the studio before you spend one. A render that fails does not count, and we say so on screen. Chat itself costs nothing.
We may change the allowance numbers. We will not reduce what you have already banked. We may also limit or pause the allowance to protect the service from abuse or runaway cost, and we will tell you if we do.
You can create a link that shows a project to someone without an account. Anyone with that link can see it. It expires after 30 days and you can revoke it at any time.
Membership is free today. If we ever offer a paid plan, it will have its own terms, its own prices and its own cancellation process, shown to you before you pay, and these Terms will not be the agreement that governs it.
Acceptable use
- Upload only a photo of a room in a home that you own or have permission to use.
- Do not upload a photo showing any person.
- Do not ask the studio to add people, text, logos or brand names to a picture.
- Do not use the studio for anything that is not a room design.
- Do not use the site to harass, defraud or impersonate anyone.
- Do not try to get around rate limits, the allowance, abuse detection or our content rules, including by phrasing a request to slip past them.
- Do not scrape the site, reverse engineer it, or resell access to it.
- Do not present a version as a photograph of finished work, your own or anyone else's.
We may refuse a request, remove content, or suspend an account that breaks these rules. If we suspend an account, we will tell you why, and you can still ask us to export or delete your data.
Your photos and versions
You own your photos. Uploading one does not change that. You also keep whatever rights you have in the versions the studio makes from your photo.
You stand behind what you upload. You confirm that you own the photo or have permission to use it, that it shows a room in a home, and that it shows no person. If someone brings a claim against us because that was not true, you agree to cover the reasonable cost of defending it and any amount a court awards on it. We will tell you promptly about any such claim, and you may take over the defence if you pay for it.
What you let us do with them. You give us a licence to store your photo and your versions, to process them through our AI providers, to show them back to you, and to make new versions when you ask for one. The licence exists so we can run the service for you. It is not exclusive, it does not let us sell your photo to anyone, and it does not let us use it in advertising.
Sending them to a company that quotes you. If, and only if, you send a quote request, the licence extends to sending your photo, your versions and the list of changes you asked for to the home improvement companies on the partner list you saw. We show you exactly what is being sent before you send it. Those companies may not sell it, pass it on, or use it in advertising, and they must delete it when we tell them to.
What we never send them. We never send anything you typed in the studio chat.
Ending the licence. Delete a project or your account and the licence ends with it, on the schedule in our Privacy Policy. A copy already delivered with a quote request follows the deletion route in that policy instead, which includes telling the company to delete theirs.
What we may do with versions we make. We may use anonymous, aggregated information about how the studio performs. We will not show your photo or your versions publicly without your separate written permission.
What you may do with a version
You may download, print, keep and show your versions, including to a contractor, architect, designer or family member. Keep the badge and caption on the image. Do not sell them as stock imagery or present them as a photograph of completed work.
Quote requests and contact permission
Sending a quote request is a separate step you choose. The consent text at the form sets out which companies may contact you, at which number, by which means, and what you are agreeing to under the Telephone Consumer Protection Act and your state's law. That text, as shown to you, is the agreement about contact. These Terms do not change or widen it.
You are never required to agree to be contacted in order to use the studio, and never obliged to hire any company that quotes you. You can stop contact at any time: reply STOP to a text, tell a caller to stop calling, or email privacy@remodelize.ai. We keep a permanent record of that choice so it does not lapse.
Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains what we collect, who we give it to, how long we keep it, and your rights, including the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information. It is part of this agreement.
No warranty
The site, the studio and the versions it makes are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy or non infringement. We do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted, or that a version will be accurate, feasible, or buildable.
Limitation of liability
[counsel to supply the cap and the carve outs. Drafting note: the current shape excludes indirect, incidental, special and consequential damages, and caps direct damages at a figure counsel sets. Because the studio is free to the consumer, a fee based cap has no denominator, so the cap needs a fixed dollar figure. Consumer protection statutes in several states limit what can be disclaimed, which is why this is not drafted here.]
To the maximum extent the law allows, we are not liable for the acts or omissions of any home improvement company in our network, for any work they do or fail to do, or for any agreement you make with them.
Notice and cure
[counsel to supply: the notice period and procedure before a dispute may be filed.]
Dispute resolution
[counsel to supply: binding arbitration clause, class action waiver, any small claims carve out, and any opt out right, per jurisdiction. Nothing on this site may reference an arbitration provision until this clause exists.]
Governing law and venue
[counsel to supply: governing law and venue, following LEGAL_ENTITY_TBD's state of formation.]
Copyright complaints
If you believe something on this site infringes your copyright, send a notice under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act to our designated agent at [counsel to supply: the agent's name and address as registered with the US Copyright Office]. Tell us what work you own, where the material is on our site, how to reach you, and that you believe in good faith the use is not authorised. We remove material covered by a valid notice, tell the person who uploaded it, and restore it on a valid counter notice. We close the accounts of repeat infringers.
If part of this agreement does not hold
If a court finds any part of these Terms unenforceable, that part is narrowed only as far as needed, or removed if it cannot be narrowed, and the rest of the agreement stays in force.
Ending your use of the site
You can stop using the site at any time and delete your account from your account page. We can suspend or end your access if you break these Terms, for legal or security reasons, or if we stop offering the service. If we stop offering it, we will give you notice and a way to download your projects first. The sections on your content licence, no warranty, limitation of liability and dispute resolution survive the end of this agreement.
Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms. The version number and date at the top of the page tell you which version applies. If a change materially affects your rights, we will email you, and we will ask you to accept it the next time you sign in.
